For a more intimate experience, choose our Private Carriage Tour. This option is available for a minimum of two guests and can accommodate up to three people. Your party will have the carriage all to yourselves, ensuring a personalized and exclusive outing. Please note: this is a private experience and not part of the shared carriage tours.
Bookings are availabel in advance through our website. For almost three decades, Trot In Time has welcomed walk up clients, and we are proud to continue this tradition. A number of slots are reserved every day for walk up clients.
All of our online bookings are closed at midnight of the night prior. There are times available every day for in person booking, so please come visit us at the waterfront!
Our primary carriage tour lasts 35 minutes. Private tours offer the same tour and the same route, but are exclusive to you. We also offer a photo taken by our driver or waterfront staff.
Up to six guests can join each primary shared carriage tour.
Our shared carriages are very accessible - we have successfully had people in wheelchairs, and using canes, successfully mount the carriage. Staff are available to assist if requested.
Our private carriage is somewhat higher off the ground, and my not be as accessible for those with limited mobility.
The private carriage tour accommodates a minimum of two and a maximum of three guests.
Online bookings close at midnight the night before your tour. Walk-up slots are available for same-day bookings; please visit us in person to reserve.
Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours in advance. After this, it is considered a late cancellation and is subject to the full fee.
The safety and security of our horses, staff, and customers are paramount.
We may need to cancel due to inclement weather (which not only makes the experience much more unpleasant, but also makes the roads more slippery). We also keep the horses home on very hot days, or when a horse is sick. Occasionally, staff shortages may also result in a cancellation.
In these circumstances, we will always do our very best to provide you with reschedule options, and will provide you with a full refund.
Guests are expected to arrive 10 minutes early for their scheduled tours. Should a guest be more than 7 minutes late for a shared tour, they will be considered a no show, and the tour will continue without them. There will be no refunds provided for missed tours.
Yes! We reserve slots specifically for walk-up clients and are proud to continue this tradition after 28 years.

Children are welcome! We have questions and stories especially designed to accommodate our younger guests, and look forward to welcoming them on our tours.
For the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask that food and drinks be consumed before or after your tour.
